Time for Training

Another weekend comes and goes. There were very few hill climbs going on this weekend and none that were close enough to take part in.
Instead, Saturday took in some training up the local climbs. It was great to get some proper coaching from Joe Clark (Facebook.com/joeclarkcoaching), planning where and when to push up different climbs.
I thought it would be a good idea to ride out to the meeting point (40km away) to warm up the legs, forgetting how hilly it is even when you try to make it flat. In the end, what was going to be 45km of specific climbing training ended up being 130km.
Today was a chill day, fitting the new cycling shoes, a bit of yoga to stretch the muscles and watching England lose the ashes (Booo!).
Almost looks like I'm taking this hill climbing seriously...
